Пакет начал собственный путь как собственная разработка студии Digital Domain, где получил премию Киноакадемии за технические заслуги и применялся при творении эффектов в наиболее чем 45 художественных кинофильмов, сотен маркетинговых колёсиков и музыкальных клипов. Пакет обеспечивает высшую производительность на базе 64-канальной TCL архитектуры в сочетании с широким арсеналом приборов, беспрецедентным для класса настольных систем.

Работа в 3D среде
Трехмерное рабочее место Nuke поддерживает импорт объектов формата OBJ, проекции(projection mapping), импорт 3D камеры и почти все иное.

64-канальный OpenEXR поток работы
Nuke многосторонне поддерживает EXR: чтение, обработка и запись до 64 каналов EXR данных.

Прокеивание
Новейший кейер на базе изображений(image based keyer - IBK)предоставляет возможность управления цветами новеньким методом, а конкретно персональную работу с каждым цветовым каналом. Таковым образом стала вероятна самая узкая настройка.

What's new in Nuke 6.0?
